A whole generation is growing up while we wait for Brisbane City Council to complete a safe link from the North Brisbane Bikeway to Kedron Brook. These two photos are the same family, more than five years apart.
See if you can spot which picture was taken in 2018, when council was proposing to build the connection via Price Street and Park Road.
Now, council is two years into consultation on a better route, from Wooloowin to Clayfield via Dickson Street. And there’s still no bikeway.
We took our newer photo this weekend to remind council that it’s time to get something built so that children in the current generation can safely ride their bicycles and scooters where they need to go.
